This week we set up a baptismal date! Catalina Valle, she is 16 years old and a reference from her mom who is recently coming back to church, she has 2 little twin daughters. She is great, We have been able to really see the change in her since we have started teaching here. as expected, being sixteen with twin daughters over a year old has lots and lots of problems and stress, along with lots and lots of problems in the family, (her older sister and her pothead dad and his girlfriend (she lives with her dad since her parents are divorced)) so her life is complicated and full of work, but she understands really really well about everything and she has taken it to heart well. Im really excited for her and her progress.
This week has really just been the start of the rebound for me, weve had a couple of bad weeks here but im seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. im feeling better. The branch is still just talking a ton a ton about the need that we have to speed up the work of salvation, everything is coming to a head here it feels like. it is so important that we try to share the gospel with people throughout our lives. Praying for the missionary experiences. being truly converted, its to easy to just go to church because we have to. God wants us to be more, and when we are more, we get more. hes gonna be there helping us through every single step!
Im very thankful for evrything im learning here, as far as the doctrine goes in the scriptures, as far as teaching goes, the new language, how to deal with people, how to plan. endless endless things. its a beautiful experience to see the change in peoples lives, i heard a song the other day called "the work- the hardest thing ive ever loved to do" even if you dont listen to it, you can get the vibe. its hard, but its wonderful at the same time.
I love you all and hope you are well! Keep the faith! keep moving forward! Its worth it!
